Frequently Ask Questions

Where? The 10 K race starts in Proctor, Vermont at 8 a.m. sharp. The race begins at the OMYA plant offices
on the Proctor Green. The course is a certified point to point 10K & 5K. the championship event finishes on Merchants Row at Citizen’s Bank, Rutland, Vermont. The 5K race starts at Loop Street and Route 3 and
finishes on Merchants Row.

When? The race will take place Sunday June 13, 2010, all races will begin at 8:00 a.m.

How Far? The 10 K race is a certified ten kilometers (6.2) miles. The five kilometer race (3.1) miles is
also a certified course. The races can be run for individual performances, a partnership 10K relay
(two individual 5K or 3.1 miles). USAT&F Certified Course Number #VT97008WN.

How can I register? By filling out the form on the register page, printing it and mail it with your check to :

Packet Pick-Up? Runners can pick up their packets at the Sport n' Fitness Expo in the Keefe Gym on Library Ave from 10 am to 3:30 pm on Saturday June 12,2010 or at starting point in Proctor on race day Sunday June 13,2010 at 6:30 to 7:30 am.

Competitive Runs: 10 K Course from Proctor to Rutland, Vermont, 8 a.m.
                                 5 K Course from Loop St., Proctor to Rutland, Vermont, 8 a.m.

11th Annual Kids’ Race: A one mile run in downtown Rutland, Vermont, 8 a.m.

Parking: There are many parking area near the race finish line. Included is this option is a downtown parking deck, which is located on Route 4, West one hundred yards from the finish line. If you plan to use the school bus ride to the starting lines in Proctor and Loop Street, you may board the bus at the finish line. Bus rides start at approximately 6:30 a.m. and will run at 20 minute intervals until the last ride at 7:30 a.m.

Accommodations: Plan to stay and enjoy what our area has to offer. The official hotel for the Crowley Road Race is the Holiday Inn, Rutland. Special rates are available for runners and their families for June 11th – June 12th. Please call to make your reservations for this exciting, and fun weekend. Mention the Crowley Road Race when making your reservation.

Additional Highlights: Mile markers splits, water stations, music, light refreshments to include power bars, fruit, bagels, juice and water. Awards ceremony immediately following the race for top over all finishers. A “Super” Raffle upon completion of the race. Your race bib number is your raffle ticket number.
